Guest Imladil
I think it means your R2 unit has gotten ahold of bootleg software and needs a good smack upside the dome to get it going again. Good luck!
Guest Cougar
You can always count on Imladil to be the first one to offer 'advice'! I don't know, the TIE works fine for me. ------------------ I'm not crazy, I'm just a little confused.
Guest Mindless
imladil, thx for the advice but...but I don't think he's the problem ;-) and to avoid any misunderstandings...I'm clearly talking about Rogue Squadron...I'm not sure what you mean with TIE, cougar??(I know what it means, but what has TIE have to do with black screens?) help plz

Guest FireFly
Something similar used to happen to me; while i was playing the whole thing would abruptly close and exit back to windows.. and it always seemed to do it when i was closest to getting a gold medal.. anyway i updated my videocard drivers (tnt2) to fix an unrelated problem and it never happened in RS again. you might wanna try that if you havent already
Guest Imladil
Ignore that particular unit (The Master I mean), Mindless, and welcome. I do have some suggestions, of almost childish ingenuity (since my own computer savvy is limited): have you tried uninstalling the game, rebooting, then reinstalling it? Also, are you using the maximum installation? Using the bigger option usually increases performance. I have had the same problem with other games, and it turned out that my hard drive was too full. I uninstalled another of my games, and the problem went away...but there's no guarantee that this is your problem. Another possibility is that your computer has been possessed by the devil, but this is a remote possibility. If you suspect that this has happened, however (look for things like upside-down pentagrams, dead animals, etc.), you should destroy the device with a shotgun before the hellish beast visits the legions of the damned upon this world, with your PC being the portal into hell itself. This doesn't happen very often, though. Hope this advice is more helpful... ------------------ "I sought the true nature of reality but discovered instead the real nature of truth." --Thrustweasel of Earth [This message has been edited by Imladil (edited July 05, 2000).]
Guest Cougar
Oh, sorry, misread your post. Thought you meant it went bad when you got a tie figher. Never mind me. A lot of times when I use the V-wing in Prisons of Kessel the game suddenly crashes. It took me forever for me to finally beat the game with the ship. ------------------ I'm not crazy, I'm just a little confused.

Guest The Master
Without computers Imladil wouldn't be Imladil! I wouldn't be The Master! Cougar wouldn't be a Cougar! Mindless wouldn't be Mindless!(I mean that literaly<font size=1>j/k<font size=2>) And Firefly couldn't be the old G.I.JOE, Firefly! We would be so insignificant! Guest Mindless
Thx for the replies guys If there's anything I've learnt over the past few years I own a computer, it's that there's no such thing as a perfect one! Every one is full of bugs... computer isn't possessed by demons or stuff..checked that! :-) i'll try to install some other drivers... and about those smileys... yeehaaa!! thx again
