HT. I started with a Sunfish, moved to an Osprey, then on up to a Hobie Cat. Then I had the U.S.S Lexington, Now I'm into antiques,like the U.S.S. Constitution and the Monitor and Merrimac.....and my medication.

I sail a bit too. It's fun, don't all those people that scream when the boat starts tipping, I mean it is supposed to do that.

I like tacking into the wind, then slicing about 45 degrees across the down wind side, feeling the sails surge, trying to pull the ropes free of your hands. At that point I don't care if the water is salt or fresh. Man, that's freedom trying to break out with physics trying to hold you back. What a battle...and only you can decide.

Only one thing... it's kinda hard to get all the sails outta da way on those dang aircraft carriers. hehe

I always use helicopters to control my sail on aircraft carriers...

Here is something fun that I always enjoy doing while sailing. First you have to get going and get up to a fast pace, then you tack hard, but don't stop turning and you'll just sit there spinning around, fun! WARNING, always be sure that you're not going to jibe cause that can be quite dangerous.

CHILLIN, my uncle, who taught me to sail, would always yell, "Prepare to come about!!!" when he got ready to make a drastic turn. Then as he would swing the tiller and tug on the lanyard(rope) he'd holler,"Coming About!!!" That worked well until he stuttered one time and knocked my aunt into the water with the boom. (That big swingey thing). After that he just yelled..."DUCK STUPID!!!!"
