Guest LukA_YJK
Dear STAR WARS: ROGUE SQUADRON fans ! It's impossible, but Recently I received message from one of the developers of Rogue Squadron ! I want to share some parts of the 2nd more interesting message with you: "...Rogue Squadron was a fun game to make. We made it in a very short time, 9 months I believe was the time we spent on it. When we originally made Rogue Squadron it was to be a N64 product, so we spent most of our time squeezing all of the features that we could into a 12MB space for the cartridge. Factor 5 did alot of great work to make this happen. Thomas, a genius of a programmer, went in and wrote a lot of Micro code that in essence re-programmed the N64 console to allow a lot of the things that you see in the game to happen. So We didn't have time or space in the N64 to include network play. I found your site believe it or not by doing a web search on my name, I was bored yesterday... I'm getting ready to move in 1 month, but if I have the time I will send you the names of the people on the team. I glad that you like the game so much. It's nice to know that all of the hard work that went into it was worth it. You didn't hear this from me, but Rogue 2 is being worked on as we speak... and please don't connect my name with that information." Good luck and May the Force be with you ! Guest Rogue Pilot
I have downloaded the RS2 demo movies and they were AWESOME. The assault on the Death Star sequences were as good or better than the original movie footage. And yes, as far as I know it is being developed by Factor 5 for the new GameCube to be released Fall 2001. I really, really wish they would make it for the PC too. I do not wish to buy a console system and if they don't then my only hope will to be to rent it or play with someone who does. Has everyone seen the movies at "http://cube.ign.com/news/23965.html"!!! If not then get your lazy arses over there and check it out, you will not be disappointed. ***Warning - the movie download are large, 10 & 20 MB, but definitely worth the wait!*** ------------------ Ties are flies. Let's swat'em!
