Guest Indiana627
This is related to my post about the Naboo fighter corrupting my graphics. I'm wondering if anyone else with Windows ME, DirectX 7.1, and RS version 1.3 has the following problem: When I try to run the Analyze Your Computer feature from the RS CD after installation, I get the following error message: "Unable to find the DirectX diagnostic tool on this system. Installing the latest version of DirectX might fix this issue." The DirectX diagnostic program is loaded and is operating fine, but RS can't find it, and I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem? Please let me know. Thanks. Guest Gold Squadron Leader
Indiana, have you tried a complete uninstall of RS then reinstall? If not, try it and see if it helps. Otherwise, your system specs are beyond what I have seen anybody else post here. RS is an older title and cannot be forward compatible forever. Too hard to tell what is the culprit, DirectX 7.1, Windows ME or RS 1.3. ------------------ Ties are flies, swat'em!
Guest Indiana627
Gold Leader, Yes, I've uninstalled and then reinstalled, and still get the same error message. I've been e-mailing back and forth with Lucas Arts tech support, but they have not e-mailed me within the last 24 hours, so I think I might have stumped them. Maybe they're working on a patch for me right now!! Just curious if anyone else has seen this problem. Seems like there couldn't be that much of a difference between Windows 98 and ME and likewise with DirectX 6 and 7. Indy
Guest Gold Squadron Leader
Oh yes there could. Any difference might be the source of the problem. ------------------ Ties are flies, swat'em!
