Guest LukA_YJK
Dear STAR WARS: ROGUE SQUADRON fans ! [PART II See === Hey, Rogues ! === for Previous Part] First of all - I want to say Happy New Year and New Century to you all once again ! [Rogue15] Who did write the JediKnight™ level editor ? Somebody from LucasArts or... [Gold Squad Leader] It seems we already have something for testing. I need your help and advice here: [!]Dear friends, I changed the Bundle.002 file in the RS directory so that when you enter something into the PASSCODE box the program starts to check all possible variants of passcodes. But the computer available here is not very fast (Intel Celeron 300A RAM 16Mb) and I can not use it long time. Fortunately this file is not big (only 71Kb zipped) so I can send it if anybody have a convenient computer to test whether this try makes a sence or it demands very long period of time or maybe it is not working fully Please, write what do you think about it... Thank you and May the Force be with you ! Guest Rogue15
the jedi knight level editor is completely free and legal, lucasarts didn't make it though. someone else did. a site to go for it is www.massassi.net they got it plus a ton of addon missions. I'm currently making a level where me and a friend can add on to, it's going to be The Imperial Shuttle's Landing, i'm trying to make it look like the landing area from empire strikes back, after vader fights luke, you know where vader's shuttle lands? i'm trying to make that area, with the shuttle included, and i had to keep reqinding the part to see how many stormtroopers were around it, which formation they were in, and how many stormtroopers were there, and some of the stuff that wasn't as noticeable. I'll release the level on my website when it's good enough for everybody. I still need to put the imperial officers in, a mouse droid, and probably an assassin droid. of course these aren't going to be enemies, it's just going to be a neat little 'tour' type thing which'll look pretty cool, and then later, i'll have the player be a prisoner aboard the ship, and he'll have to escape with the shuttle or tie, or have someone infiltrate the place. It might take a while to do, but i'll release it on my website so peopel can play the alpha and beta versions of it... the editor to look for is JED .95 has a 95 in it. if you got jedi knight or mysteries of the sith and are wanting to build your own levels, or get a good idea on how they are made, i recommend getting it. I've probably turned form a trainee in it to a novice, 'cause i know how to do some pretty fun things with the game... Well, i gotta go insert the stormtroopers and imperial officers into the level right now!

Guest Rogue15
oh, about max, i noticed you've gotta be extremely fast to get inside the door, 'cause when the door shuts, it's locked! did you know max is on another level? He's on the 8t88 ship level, the level where at the end you need to jump from the one ship to the other, i heard he was on the ship you need to jump onto! Guest Gold Squadron Leader
Hi LukA_YJK! I'll be glad to test the passcode checker if you wish for me to. I have a Dell P-III 550 MHz, 128 MB, 20 GB HD, DVD etc. You can either email the file along with installation instructions to me, or make it available for download from your site. Now, what is this mod suppose to do, list all acceptable passcodes for RS PC? ------------------ Ties are flies, swat'em!
Guest Rogue15
i think he said it was a program that lists all the passcodes available, it searches for them, and then lists them, sorta like when you scan your harddrive for errors, just make the errors be the passcodes, and the harddrive be the game. does that make sense? Guest LukA_YJK
Dear Friends ! First of all - greetings from Baku ! Thank you for your quick response and support, sorry for late reply... As I said, this is not a separate Passcode Checker Program, i am not strong enough to write such a program This is simply a little bit changed version of original Bundle.002 (514 Kb) file located in the main RS directory. Usually when you enter something into the Passcode Box the RS checks what did you enter and accepts it if it is a valid passcode, rejects otherwise. But with changed Bundle.002 it will begin to check possible variants showing the progress in the Explanation Line and listing valid ones in the Passcode List (if this is working of course). By my calculations the jalopy available here needs about 256 years to check all these variants but I think Gold Squad Leader's sUPer computer will do it much quickly Recently it comes to mind to use player profile for analyzing passcodes (very strange, where this obvious approach was before) Physically there is a place for 35 passcodes. Setting passcode bits manually had not any seeming NEW effect, so to say the truth I have lost interest in Passcodes [Rogue15] Your JediKnight level projects impressed all, I think ! It is a good idea to make the movie episodes as levels with playing as Luke Skywalker. If we will have a Level Editor for RS (we will have early or later I believe) the first new level may be AT-ST oriented level with Chewbacca ! [Gold Squad Leader] Just received your e-mail and sending you the zipped Bundle.002 with instructions. Please, look is this process fast enough and is it finding something properly... Guest Rogue15
I've been thinking about getting rogue for pc. We got someone to work on adding ships in the levels too, and soon we'll have a speeder bike!!!! Good idea about the at-st! You could make an endor level too! I've been playing Rogue Squadron quite a bit since i've had to draw a complete map of imperial construction yards, oh, we've got that Radar dish in too, it rotates and has a red blinking light on it, it's most impressive. The guy that's helping me has rogue squadron for the n64 too, and he's making some of the 3dos for the barracks, minibarracks, fuel depot, etc. We're glad to have someone else doing the ship mod for it, we really are looking foreward to having the Imperial Speeder bike in Imperial construction Yards and in Assault on Kile 2. We're planning on having snow on Escape from Fest, that level i'm planning on having the rebel wear a snowtrooper outfit, and he'll have to infiltrate the base and find the at-pts... Good luck on the editor you're making! Did you get the passcode editor to work yet? If you're sending it over email, you'll probably want to zip it with winzip. Guest Gold Squadron Leader
OK LukA_YJK, I sent you a memo with my new e-mail address. Please try sending it again. ------------------ Ties are flies, swat'em!
Guest Gold Squadron Leader
Started passcode checker at 7:53 AM this morning and it is still running. I'm afraid it will take a supercomputer to run through all the possible combinations of a 10 digit alpha code in a reasonable amount of time. By 9:08 AM it had only completed scan from AAAAAAAAAA to AAAABAAAAA. Now how long did you say it would take to run? On the the bright side, the modifications do work and it found the first valid match shortly afterwards: AAAABDBOHP. I have no idea what it means or does, but will try it out later when I get a chance. ------------------ Ties are flies, swat'em!

Guest Rogue15
hey lukajay, you can send me that passcode searcher too, 'cause i got a Pentium III 600 mhz. I only got 62 megs of ram though and am thinking about getting some more. So, send me that passcode program at Rogue15@tiefighter.org if it comes back, then email it to saber2@turok.com i'd prefer you send it to rogue15@tiefighter.org first though.
