Once again, Rogue Squadron DOES NOT work on Windows 2000. Can you understand that?

What, you back to complain again? Other people have made RS work on Win Y2K, but only with modifications. RS IS an older game not designed or optimized for Win Y2K, it would require a patch for a newer version. LucasArts and Factor5 have stopped development on this and moved on a LONG time ago. It will NOT happen unless you do it yourself. Why would anyone want WinY2K for a home PC anyway? If you need help, check with WinY2K gaming site, that is your best bet. Good luck.

funny how someone makes a minor complaint of this game on this site and you kids act like he killed your first born. very sad. I wouldn't post anything here if i didn't like the game. I'm just saying that if I had a company with so few games out I would put in the minor effort it would take so that they work on the current Os. Tried to get Duke Nukem to work on a current OS? some people have no issues at all, but some have no luck at all... yet 3dRealms ain't done crap since they put the game out, and still they make effort to update it. This is laziness to me. I want games I like to work for at least a few years and on new OSs. That ain't too much to ask.

Oh... BTW, Battle for Naboo works great on Win2k. Sadly, RS so far seems to be the better game.

I think the complaints come from the fact that you have not posted anything ELSE here. Oh, and hey, everybody, sorry about your firstborns. wink.gif

Windows 2000 is supposed to be a business operating system...if you pay that much for your home computers OS, the maybe you should look at geting a gaming machine that runs win9x
