Guest Peashooter
I've been playing RS for a LONG time now, and can qualify for gold almost every time I play (I've had gold in every level for quite some time now). RS is still my favorite game, though. I like the fact that I can sit down and play RS for 20 minutes, and have to spend 3 days to finish a game. I also like the fact that I don't have 20 weapons to deal with and figure out; the beauty of RS is its simplicity. But it would be nice to have other games to play. Anyone have any suggestions? I just haven't found anything I enjoy as much as this, and I'm just looking for something similar! Thanks!
Guest Moff_Kioet
get X-Wing Alliance. that game is a little better than Rogue Squadron, it's in Space, a few hours (or minutes?) ago i played this level STRAIGHT from shadows of the empire book, i had to disable the suprosa, man was that awesome. Eventually you get to face the Death Star II, i haven't gotten there yet though. There's a skirmish, and multiplayer option too, and you can fly ANY ship in the game with this thing you have to dload off of www.xwingalliance.net I HIGHLY recommend getting it. Rogue Squadron and X-Wing Alliance are my favorites, i also play Rebellion, Force Commander, and Mysteries of the Sith. for a space sim though, my primary choices are X-Wing Alliance and Rogue Squadron. Guest Redwing
I agree, get X-Wing Alliance. It's a really cool game (but in different ways than Rogue Squadron). BTW, I also just got it. ------------------ At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge.
Guest Peashooter
Thanks, I'll give it a try. I downloaded the demo but it seemed like it would be kind of time-consuming. Maybe I need to give more of a chance! Domo!
Guest Jared
The demo is nothing compared to the full version. It rocks!!!!! ------------------ my true inner self has emerged........
Guest Moff_Kioet
yeah, the full version is the best. My friend gave me it (not burned either!), and I just got into playing it on thursday, well, i started playing it again 'cause the one level seemed impossible. Now I'm at Battle 6 mission 2. And I'm going to play it all day today until I beat it.
Guest Redwing
I only got up to Battle 3 Mission 6 before being distracted in the combat simulator (designing your own mission rocks!) ------------------ At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. Guest Lujayne
The one and only original X-Wing game is great! I highly recommend it. --L.
Guest Moff_Kioet
it's hard though! I got stuck on one of the y-wing missions. Not enough craft in it compared to tie fightrer, and then after playing x-wing alliance, tie fighter doesn't seem to be as great anymore. The thing i liked most about X-Wing though is the variety of missions, it has alot of them, i think the X-Wing and A-Wing ones were the funnest though, but the escorting missions were nearly impossible! Guest Lujayne
It is hard! I love it though because of all the missions, and I love the Pilot Proving Ground; that's where I have the most fun. I'm good in the Historical Combat, but the TOD missions I can barely get through...eep!

And how have we survived without your presence here? Ahh, I guess it wasn't that hard. --L. (*j/k!*)

Guest Imladil
Hiya! Why hasn't anyone brought up X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter yet? If I could run X-Wing Alliance on my little 16 MB RAM computer, I would...but I'm stuck with the latest simulation my machine can run. For its limited size, it's a kick-butt spacefighter sim...and you can fly both rebel and imperial ships! I used to have the original X-Wing, too, but took it off my hard drive as soon as I got XvT. It also comes with its own updated version, with add-on missions, called 'Balance of Power' where you get to fly the infamous B-wing and attack a full-size SSD. Play this game or die! ------------------ 'Rieekan, this is the commander! It's imperative that you kiss my fuzzy pink @$$...!'
Guest Moff_Kioet
lol at imladil's sig. i tried the x-wing vs. tie fighter demo, i think it's awesome! too bad you don't have a better cpu, if you did, you'd trash x-wing vs. tie fighter. or not. i still have tie fighter on my cpu. hey, imladil, have you ever thought of joining www.tiecorps.org??? they make you do some competitions and you can dload more missions for the game. Guest Redwing
Non-SW games? Never played them---only video games I will waste my time on are SW. And XWA beats all the others in XW trilogy by a lot. From your recommendations for XW vs TIE, Imladil, I can see you have never played XWA...if you wanted to (in XWA), you could fly a B-Wing against 40 SSDs. Literally! ------------------ At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge.

Guest Imladil
Any N64 pilots in the house? In addition to Rogue Squadron and Battle for Naboo, I also have Pilot Wings and Aerofighters Assault. I never run out of ground targets... Few games, though, can compare with Episode One: Racer. Only silly little girlie men are afraid to race pods.
