Guest Lujayne
Oh CorHorn, we are not so anal-retentive here! --g.
Guest Imladil
Yay! That means we can actually talk about the FREAKING SUBJECT on this forum (without having to save more than one shortcut on the favorites bar)!!! Anyway, I'd say the Naboo is your best bet. You need the extra precision to get those tibanna gas containers, and the speed helps. ------------------ 'Rieekan, this is the commander! It's imperative that you kiss my fuzzy pink @$$...!' Guest Redwing
Okay, now I am firmly convinced that the keyboard is better; I have made the bonus dive every single time; I've done it over thirty times. The joystick is very unresponsive and SLOW! (now I know why everyone hates the A-Wing; to get the proper reactions from it it seems you must use the keyboard or play the N64 version like Imladil) ------------------ At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. Guest Rogue Renegade
Not all joysticks are unresponsive. Each model tends to have a different feel in various games. I learned RS with an old Thrustmaster stick. Later I got a MS stick and couldn't control anything! Everything was slow. I finally bought another Thrustmaster, and I was back in the action! For me at least, the A-Wing is VERY responsive and nimble. Guest Imladil
Well, I don't know how it's set up in the PC version of RS, but I do have XvT on PC, and I use a Magnum 6 joystick, which I recommend. It's on the cheaper side, like the Thrustmaster (which I also bought, but wound up taking back,) but it responds very well, plus it has enough switches that you can program a lot of your throttle and targeting functions into the joystick itself. I use the POV hat as a 'targeting control,' which gives me immediate control of my targeting computer. I also have the two big buttons in the middle of the stick programmed with full and one-third throttle settings, which gives me full control of the engines. The only keys I normally use on the keyboard are my LES (power distribution) controls and the button that tops off my lasers from the shield charge. On the other hand, for RS...the Nintendo pad does all of this quite well. ------------------ 'Rieekan, this is the commander! It's imperative that you kiss my fuzzy pink @$$...!' Guest The Master
Ya, you are gonna be a Renagade when I am done with you Rogue Renagade. He he! You can not escape my transparent powers. Whoops there I go again, over reacting.
Guest Redwing
I just played RS with a joystick, just to check it out...and the A-Wing might as well be a paper airplane when you use that! (well, heavier...)I have a USB Saitek ST 2000. ------------------ At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge.
