Escape from Fest?

We could complete to this mission couple of times without any metal. In the other times, we just helplessly watched the AT-PTs being blasted out by a herd of droi tanks because the speeder dose not have enough power to destroy enough. It was irritating to see this happening after you spent much effort to bring down three AT-ATs. It would be nice if you can switch the secondary weapon from cable to missils or someting more power.

 

By the way, when I say "we", I meant my six year old son and I. we both play RS and love it. Hope people belive me when next time I say "my six years old". We now have gotten some golds without treating, thank for the tips from many of you.

Ummmmmmm......fest. that level is pretty hard, well, unless of course you're me. just kidding.

 

ok, time to troubleshoot:

 

You almost NEED advanced blasters (found on taloraan, the level before fest, they're in the middle of that bespin-type city) you need them to destroy all the tank droids without losing too much time, you should have most of those tank droids destroyed by the time the TIE Bombers do their bombing run. just concentrate on hitting as many of the tank droids as possible, if you cocentrate on just one, the job will not be done, so just fire all over them, try to give each the same amount of hits, then pull up when you get too close, and turn around and attack again, and that time they should be wiped out, there's so much tank droids on this level it's annoying. My dad gave up playing rogue squadron because of this level. It's pretty easy for me to do though, just KEEP practicing, trainee, don't get mad, just practice destroying those tank droids, try NOT to complete the objectives even, 'cause that could upset you when you like have all the tank droids down, and then some more destroy your atpts. it's going to take some patience trying to get the gold on it, i'm still trying to get gold on it myself (pc version) so i kinda know how you feel. Just keep practicing, and before you know it, the level will be completed with a gold medal on 'accident'.

Also you only need to take down two of the AT-ATs, the one you see at the beginning and the one by the shield generator. The AT-AT closest to the AT-PTs at the beginning of the level doesn't attack them unless you're in visual range of the AT-AT. Also....

Taloraan, this is one of the two missions I could not complete(another one is the Defection). If I did not get shoot down, I would be called back to the base for discussion of my technics.

well talloran I can just say: don't shoot until the canaster is destroyed. it might be destroyed but 3 or four bursts are still in the air that can kill civilian canasters and also brings down acuracy. only shoot the barrels with the imperial markings and when the swarm of fighters come fly high then get them from behind. when you aproach the city about half of the width of the platform and in the midle sideways is an interceptor that will fallow you until one of you is destroyed. if you have seaker missles arm them and destroy it when if comes head on at you out of the platform. grab the bonus is the center of the city (this might take a few tries to get the right angle)then destroy the missle turrets and the remain canisters
