bonus level - death star trench run (R Squadron 3D)

Is there a targeting computer? If so, how do I turn it on? I get to the end of the run, and I see several guns. A game voice tells me that the targeting computer has been turned off. The level ends and I see "mission failed".

any time you pull out of the trench you lose the mission, target the exhaust portal as you normaly would and fire.

First, you have to have Seeker Proton Torpedoes. When you reach the area with lots off guns, target the small exhaust port and let rip with the torps. The mission will then end. Don't go above the trench, or you will lose.

magnetic field protecting exaust port, proton torpedoes must've been attracted to it. or they locked onto it from targeting computer.

You guys do know that you don't need to use a seeker missle to fire into the hole, right? (at least the PC version). Just double tap the missle button to pump a regular missle in there.

 

It saves a little time... especially if your seeker sometimes gets caught on a turret!

It ALWAYS locks onto a turret!

 

But dumfiring doesn't always work.

Well see, I'm from Gamefaqs over yonder (and pop in here every once and a while), and we have a little competition over there for the fastest times in RS. I find just dumfiring (if that's what its called) can sometimes go faster then just waiting for it to lock onto its target, and then further more... locking onto the wrong one.

dumbfiring works all the time. it's actually faster and you don't need seekers (ALOT easier without them), just fire right BEFORE the hole, at least aim there, and it'll hit it and you'll win!
