Rogue Squadron 2 - What starfighter do you wanna see in it?

The reign of Rogue Squadron has ended, followed by Battle For Naboo. But come on, we don't really wanna see Episode I stuff do we? We wanna see Rogue Squadron at their best blowing away those TIE's! Well I know I want to... So what's being done about it? Well if I were you I'd go out and get yourself a NINTENDO GAMECUBE and a copy of RS2 when they come out because from what I've seen, it's gonna ROCK!

Okay, coming to the point... RS2 has a heap of great starfighters to fly but what do YOU wanna be able to fly? Personally, I want to see an E-Wing in there and maybe a TIE Defender. Hopefully the guyz at LucasArts and Factor 5 have got it in their heads to put in something good and different to fly besides the basic starfighters...

You can fly the B-wing! IGN has videos from E3 and one of them shows you flying a B-wing to destroy a Star Destroyer!!!

Yep, I knew that we could fly the cloud car. I think you're flying an A-wing and are running low on power so you stop at a hangar and steal a cloud car.

I also know that you'll fly the X-wing, A-wing, Y-wing, and speeder, as well as the Tie Advanced. Also, the Millenium Falcon is hinted about being playable in the game (although no one ever officially said it).

Also, check this out...

The latest edition of Electronic Gaming Monthly has a short, two page article on RS2. In it, they compare the polygon differences between the Rogue Squadron and the Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader. Here it is:

Director Tosti says the new Rogue Squadron flexes between 12,000 and 25,000 polygons on its ships; 30,000 on its terrains; 13,000 on an AT-AT; and 3,000 on each TIE fighter. The N64 prequel only did 300; 1,200; 600; and 200 respectively.

Also, later in the article, it says that the hangar people in the original were made of 2(!) polygons, while they are made up of 8,000(!!!!!!!) on the GC version. That's amazing!

It's a shame it's too late to implement any of those ships or a multiplayer feature since RSII is coming out as a launch title. Remember November 5th, 20001 (Unless those jerks at Nintendo delay it). Gamecube's suggested retail price by Nintendo $199.95 and Rogue Leader's suggested retail price $49.95 or was it $49.99, not like four cents really makes a difference.

I don't think an Escort Shuttle is going to be in RS2---they're a little exotic-looking.

You know I've been thinking... since RS2 hasn't got a multiplayer option, then why not create a separate game that's dedicated to multiplayer gaming. Think about it! A whole disc full of great multiplayer action!! Think of all the options, fighters, hidden features!!! IF ONLY LUCASARTS WOULD LISTEN TO PEOPLE LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!

i hate it when nintendo rushes things.

i agree with the multiplay thing though, they should do what the turok 2 team did with rage wars.

Anybody know what the cloud car that we can fly in RS2 will look like? Is it that little annoying red thing with two pods flying around in Tatoinne in Rogue Squadron? Or is that something different?

Bespin???? I mean, I know I've heard of it and everything, but I can't think of a specific car there??? What does it look like, where is Bespin, and is there a place I can see a picture of it (like on a webpage or in one of the movies?)

If anyone can help out, thanks.

Thanks, but isn't that the same red flying thing in Rogue Squadron in Battle above Tatooine??? Looks the same from the cloud car from that view.

You guys should know your planets.

Tantooine= Hot desert planet

Taloraan= big gas giant with floating buildings

See there is a difference, you guys got it now?

Which shuttle---the Lambda (aka Tydirium)? Sentinel? Or the weird "pronged" Escort Shuttle? (See the XWA tech library)

Oh, another name for the escort shuttle is the Beta class Shuttle, they pack quite a punch! Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing one of those in there... but something else should be added... something small fast and hard to hit... why not a TIE/D Fighter or a Ssi-Ruuvi Battle Droid! Imagine that! You could really fly circles around your enemies with those.

I know... I just switched them up (Taloraan and Tatooine) for a second. After I posted, I noticed that, but I didn't see any reason to correct it, cause I didn't think it would be that much of a deal rolleyes.gif Anyway, no one answered my question, so I'll ask it again, the right way wink.gif

Does anyone know if the cloud cars are those red flying two-podded things in Battle above Taloraan (in the game Rogue Squadron... I'm not necessarilly talking about the movie, although they may be in there)??? From Lynx's picture, it appears that they are, but does anyone know for sure.
