Guest Kannin Foddah
Hello, everyone: I need help. I'm new to Rogue Squadron 3D and I am having a problem on Level 4 Defection at Correllia. Background: I'm playing the game on a Sony Vaio P4 PC using a Thrustmaster joystick and the keyboard. The trigger controls the cannons, the safety-shielded No. 2 button controls the secondary weapons (torps, missiles, the blankety-blank tow cable), Nos. 3 & 4 control the throttle. All work OK on Levels 1 - 3. Aside from the fact that the airspeeder is a P.O.S. to begin with, I can't seem to come up with a combination of buttons that will fire the tow cable. As the No. 2 button works OK on earlier levels, I figure I'm just doing something wrong. 1) Do you have to be looking aft to get the thing to shoot? 2) Is there a combo of keyboard buttons that will fire the cable? 3) Just how close to the Walker do you have to be before you shoot? I've read tips that say not to fire until Luke says to, but I've never heard him say to even when skimming right alongside the Walker with a good angle on it. Is this order a feature pon N64, or does it exist in the PC version? I figure that if I can ever get the miserable cable to fire, I can learn how to loop and trip the Walker (although I wish it wasn't so close to the cliff wall). But if I can't... 5) Is there a PC cheat code that allows you to bring an X-Wing onto Level 4? I'm so sick and tired of getting stopped by my inability to fire the tow cable, I just want to blast the silly thing to bits and move on to Level 5. Thanks for listening. Any guidance/advice appreciated.
Guest Tie Guy
You have to be near the Walker's legs, really near. Almost touching it...well.... maybe not that close. Anyways, then you just press the secondary fire button. You can wait until Luke says to, but you don't have too, just push it when you get close enough. BTW, you can get the X-wing in the Correllia level with a program called rogue-arm, but you can't take out the walkers, so that doesn't help much. ------------------ "We will crush the Rebellion in one swift stroke." Guest Ikhnaton
if you're a noobie to RS, you should get your ship as close to the ATAT legs as you can (fly low) and wait for the signal ("Fire harpoon now!") and press secondary fire.

Guest Redwing
Actually Luke says "Activate harpoon" and the cam veiw will change so you can guide your speeder around the walker safely. PS yes you can destroy the walker with an X-Wing using RogueArm. Just takes a while with blasters or torps. But the Y-Wing...bombs work quite fast PS it's alot faster aiming for the head. ------------------ At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge.
