Hey all. I have set up a 'Your Comments' page for the Rogue Squadron, Wraith Squadron and X-Wing Fanpage sections on my site. Today I'm starting off with the X-Wing Fanpage section.

You can see it at www.geocities.com/rogue_squadron_central/x-wing_your_comments.html

There isn't much there on the page but that's why I've posted this. Duh!...

So anywayz, post your comments on the T-65 X-Wing right here... here's an example of how it should be posted.

Name: (Your name...)

E-Mail: (Your e-mail address... if you want)

Comments: (Your comments on the X-Wing. I don't care if it's good comments or bad. Just gimme something good!)

comments: awsome craft for it's age. strong sheilds, decent blaster that can be link for putting alot of fire power in one area. for hitting ground targets or larger ships it carries 3 proton torpeedos in each magazine for a total of 6. it's x design alows it for good manuverability. the engines are fitted with hyper drives thus the ship does not require a docking ship. this allows for independant operation. it can do space and atmospheric flights. a reliable ship (that's changing because of the age) and is the favourite choice of the rogues for just that reason and the versatility of the craft. Although it is old it can still do large damage in a battle. An all around great ship and definatley a force to be reconed with.

Comments: The T-65 A2 X-Wing fighter was the last starfighter design produced by Incom Corporation before the Empire seized its assets. When the X-wing was in its final design stages, Imperial agents began to suspect that members of Incom's design staff had sympathies for the Rebel Alliance. But before the Imperials could take action, Rebel teams rescued Incom's senior design staff, who took with them all the plans and prototypes of the X-wing. Thus the X-Wing, as the Alliance’s best fighter, ended up as the craft Luke Skywalker piloted when he destroyed the Death Star, assuring the X-Wing a permanent place in history. At the time it was one of the most advanced starfighters of its day, and even now it can still outfight most of the newer starfighter designs. This craft manages to maintain a balance in design features that most other fighters cannot. The X-Wing comes equipped with four blaster cannons, one on each wing, and two proton torpedo launchers with a capacity of three torpedoes each. This craft is the favorite craft of Rogue Squadron despite its aging design, and many improved advanced models have been produced. This craft is generally still seen in use by the New Republic as it is still too expensive for most civilians to afford. The X-Wing’s four engines allow for great maneuverability, and are fitted with hyperdrives, which eliminate the need for cumbersome support ships and allow for independent operation. An R-series astromech droid is used for optimum functionality. This ship, like its precursor the Z-95 Headhunter, is capable of both atmospheric and space flight. Unlike the more common Headhunter, it has four wings or "S-foils" that can close together for faster atmospheric flight or landing or open in an X configuration for better maneuverability. The blaster cannons are automatically disabled when the S-foils are closed to protect against a fatal overheat. The X-Wing's blaster cannons operate at the limits of safety for maximum destructive power, and they can be linked three ways for maximum amount of damage inflicted at once. However this necessarily slows the fire rate. Unlike the standard Imperial craft, the X-Wing carries both shields and life support, which increases pilot survivability. Its hull alone can take a pounding and still bring the pilot home safely.

Comments: The X-wing is an outdated fighter with relatively bad manuverability, speed, and shields. The X-wing is no faster or manuverable than the standard TIE/ln fighter and it's only advantage is the fact that it has shields. The four lasers are decently powered, and provide three different settings for a variety of targetting. The fighter does carry two torpedo bays, but carry only six torpedoes. At the time of the Death Star, the X-wing was the premiere fighter, but almost all of them were destroyed by TIE's. The X-wing has since been outdone by a variety of crafts on both sides, including the E-wing and TIE Defender. Both crafts are superior in almost every aspect.
