Guest Helix
Um, I already have a PS2, but I would'nt mind a GameCube. Like RL said about the X-Box, Microsoft has no TV console experience. ------------------ If you don't have a brain, and don't even bother to get one, then your dead. This is hell. Guest Tie Guy
I've got a ps2, but i might consider getting the gamecube a little later. As for teh X-Box, it's going to be horrible. I wouldn't waste 30 dollars on it. ------------------ "We will crush the Rebellion in one swift stroke."

Guest Lynk Former
The X-Box is Microsoft's first gaming console ever. Go to http://xbox.ign.com to get more info... anywayz. It's powerful and all but it's stats aren't realistic to what the programmers of the games can achieve. You see the X-Box may be powerful (too powerful), but developing games for it extremely hard! You see Microsoft sends out development packages out to the companies that want to create games to come out on the X-Box... unfortunetaly the X-Box is so hard to create games for that even the last game ever made for the X-Box won't be able to use the full capabilities of the machine... this means that some of it's performance will be wasted. Plus I think most of us won't be able to afford an X-Box in the first place! With the GameCube it's different. You see eventhough the GCN isn't as powerful as the X-Box (but is slightly more powerful than the PS2), it is extremely easy to create games for it. Therefore the games that are being produced for the GCN will be breath taking... just look at what LucasArts and Factor 5 have done with RS2! It's great!... well i've had enough explaining for one day... ------------------

Guest Lynk Former
Oh yeah... I forgot to mention that the X-Box has a very crap controller... unless you have the same hand size as a baboon!... The GCN controller, while it seems small is very comfortable... I know I haven't even seen one in person but I have read in many places that it's the best controller ever! Nintendo have out done themselves in designing the controller for their system and I know it will go very well. The X-Box controller is crap... it's big (like the N64 controller) The buttons are too far apart yet spaced too close (you'll know what I mean when you see a picture of the controller) and unless you are willing to import a controller from Japan which is smaller than the American version, you're gonna have a lot of hand cramps! So... I'm done... for now Short enough for you?... Hmmmmm dumb question I suppose... ------------------
Guest Rogue15
i thought the n64 controller was crap AFTER i tried the one electronic boutique had designed.
Guest Tie Guy
The ps2 and ps have the best controller ever. All the buttons are easy to reach without moving your hands and they have alot of buttons and two joysticks. And it fits your hand perfectly and very comfortably. ------------------ "We will crush the Rebellion in one swift stroke."
Guest Lynk Former
I found that the dual shock analog sticks were in the most uncomfortable position... I mean who in there right mind would move their thumb that far to work the main control! I know it's not that far in reality... but imagine playing a great game for hours and you're really hooked and then suddenly the area around you thumb joint hurts cause the muscle is too tired!... get muh drift?
Guest Tie Guy
No way, i play FF9 for hours at a time, with no discomfort. You probably just have really small hands. Anyways, at least you can reach everything with 2 hands, unlike the 64 controller. ------------------ "We will crush the Rebellion in one swift stroke." Guest Kint
Remember, Nintendo has a long story of broken promises. The SNES was supposed to have a CD extension. Never happend. (http://www.nintendoland.com/home2.htm?snes/snescdr.htm) The N64 was supposed to have a DD drive. Never happened. (http://members.nbci.com/64dd/) So what promise about the GameCube is Nintendo of America going to break? (These are the same guys who promised that starting with the SNES, subtitles would be a thing of the past. All text would be spoken, not read.) ------------------ Moff Kint [This message has been edited by Kint (edited August 02, 2001).]
Guest Tie Guy
I'd say that its the promise that it will be good. ------------------ "We will crush the Rebellion in one swift stroke."
Guest Grand_Admiral_Ice
The CD extension was Playstation! Nintendo and Sony's partnership was broken up and Sony got to keep the Playstation designs and stuff. The DD drive never made it here because it wasn't successful in Japan. ------------------ A six pack a day, keeps the doctor away.
Guest Kint
Doesn't matter. That was only 2 examples. There's plenty more. Point is, Nintendo has always been letting people down, on all their platforms (except perhaps the gameboy variants, hardly qualifying as platforms these days). I'm not going to pay 300$+ to find out if they're going to keep their word this time around. Oh well ... ------------------ Moff Kint <A HREF="http://www.openbsd.org" TARGET=_blank> </A>
