Tie Guy, they didn't mess up AT ALL. the books were probably made after rogue squadron was made anyways, so therefore the books screwed up. besides, who said they weren't prototypes? in fact, we see 3 of them at Chorax (search for the nonnah) and they fit inside of an imperial landing craft, and are about the same size as an All Terrain Personal transport. so that made them under 3 meters tall. Just because they're bigger in the books and guides doesn't mean there were smaller versions of them. it says in my guide that (killer coming up):

WHILE THRAWN CONCENTRATED ON THE BRILLIANT USE OF EXISTING TECHNOLOGY, IMPERIAL DESIGNERS WENT BACK TO WORK AND REFINED THE XR-85. There. I just proved that the Tank Droid in rogue squadron 3d, did indeed exist.

THIS IS A RIDICULOUS ARGUMENT

Tamk droids are in Rogue Squadron. They're much smaller than the XR-85. End of story.

EDIT: Er, I mean tank droids. Tamk droids sounds kinda funny though.. biggrin.gif

TAMK DROIDS AREN'T IN ROGUE SQUADRON!!!!!!

Tank Droids are though. They're in these missions:

Search for the Nonnah

Escape From Fest

Fest is full of them. there's about 25 of them.

3 tank droids

1 atst

3 at-pts

impressive-most impressive.

I know, i've got the game, i simply think that wanted to put them in there coz they needed another ground unit, but they didn't want them 30 meters tall, so they made it smaller, no biggy.

That's just my opinion, and your not gonna change it unless you show me proof of the existence of a smaller version, not just specualtion about what could have been.

I don't wanna argue any more, because i don't have proof either, its just my opinion.

END OF ARGUMENT

What droped the 2nd AT-AT in Defection at Correlia? If that Sential Class shuttle did, that must mean it can carry ALOT more...
