-SPAM:

ok, all we know what is spam!

free post, etc etc... i dont know who said that sometimes the best answer is a smiley, and i share his point of view. So, i think one post of that kind should be called "SPAM".

 

-Signatures:

well, this is something strange, first, we was looking for a site to leech images... now that we can do it, the signature is gone!

ok, im agree, my sig is long, and we know we all got the idea of a "cool", "text" "images" signature, i think it was a bad idea to quit our signatures, and consider it spam, i know, perhaps ill be banned by saying this, but please keep reading.

For example, the signatures saying fun comments, that make us laugh, or even cry of laugh!

The serious signatures, well that express the feelings of the owner, ill put my signature for example:

 

" im not allowed to fell human feelings..."

i mean i dont want to fell in love again, not yet...

 

i dont know why some ones of you think, that im crazy, anothers call me: "gothic", "dark", so what if im?

about my "gifs" a vampire drinking his own blood, and a hunter... i dont know why is censored?, ¿Spam? i dont think so... our signature is our inner self, sometimes, fun, sometimes hard.

 

Any way... please think about it... i know the gifs are big, but they are great! like the walking atat of my friend rogue15...

Your points are well presented, and the admins are discussing the matter at hand.

 

a few things for you to chew on:

 

1. It is important to focus on the content of the post, not the content of the sig. That is the main reason i disabled them.

 

2. a large sig pic, no matter how cool it is, is a nuisance to everybody. Common sensically, a sig should not be bigger than the majority of your posts. if you post a lot of one liners, then you shouldn't have a sig that takes up as much space as 3 paragraphs.

 

3. In your case, your images were not offensive, just large. (btw, you misspelled "feel")

 

4. New sig threads are, in my book, spam. People were getting way too caught up in their sigs and were posting too many "testing sig" threads. If there are no sigs, then there are no spammy sig threads.

 

5. I understand the need for self expression, and the sigs are often a good way to do that. But do not ignore the possibilities for self expression in the post itself. That should be the main area of concentration of self expression.

 

6. no, you won't be banned for this. only if you had made this a temper tantrum with lots of profanity would a ban be even considered.

 

7. I ask that everyone try to live with the way things are for the time being while the admins discuss it. and just so you know, turning sigs off was not meant to be a permanent change. My intention was for everyone to stop thinking about sigs and start thinking about the posts.

Take a second and look at your post. The 'signature' part is 10 times larger than the actual message. Your message is empty, yet it clutters up the screen, uses space, makes the users on dialup lag like there's no tomorrow, and by linking to an absurdly huge image, you're creating unnecessary bandwidth usage.

 

Obey the golden rule.

 

Content > esthetics.
