Guest Lynk Former
Hey every1... I'm here to put a relevent topic back into this forum... so here it is. I've found (as well as many other people) some things that make absolutely no sense in Rogue Squadron (the game)... - Rogue Squadron was formed after the Battle of Hoth!!! But the game is set after SW4: A New Hope... - In Ambush at Mos Eisley I have found many things that are terribly wrong! Firstly... I never knew there was a Rebel base on Tatooine? Or that the Empire had left the planet... Plus the Empire seems to be turning on the people who live there... the probe droids... which don't make sense either since they're ment to PROBE things, are attacking homesteads... Then there's the TIE Bombers... what's with that?! They're attacking Mos Eisley! Which is where the Imperial garrison is!... Hmmmmmmm great - Now for the A-Wing... It was created by General Jan Dodonna... but from my info, it was first used at the time of the Battle of Endor... Hmmmmmm but wait there's more! It seems that the A-Wing in Rogue Squadron has rotating laser cannons which in the game, looks like auto-aim... if the A-Wing really was first used right after the Battle of Yavin then it shouldn't have the rotating laser cannons! Why? Because that was introduced into the A-Wing Mark II! - The Crix Madine situation is very confusing since there are many stories of how he defected... so it's hard to tell if this is right or wrong... but since almost everything in this game is kinda screwed i'm guessing it's wrong... - In Liberation of Gerrard V we're introduced to the 128th TIE Interceptor squadron... now who are the 128th? I've heard of the 181st... the one Baron Fel is in charge of... but the 128th?... Hmmmmmmm strange... - Here's a good one... the snowspeeder leaves that hanger and flies into space down to the planets surface... Hmmmmm now that is strange... - Here's another one... the AT-PT... the design for this walker was used to create the AT-ST and the AT-AT... but the Imps never ever used the AT-PT! They didn't find it very useful! That's why they created their own types of walkers!!! - When Wedge was captured which never happens in the proper timeline... we have to go rescue him... but when we do, at the end of the level he shows up in his X-Wing! Now this isn't right... why wouldn't the Imperials seperate him from his X-Wing? He's not stuck to it with superglue is he? - This is a simple one... why would the Rebels want 3 AT-PT's? - Why are there Rebel Alliance symbols printed on the bacta tanks? That's like advertising their involvement with the Thyferrans isn't it? Hmmmmm... - Why do the World Devestators have shield generators ontop of them?... this is strange since they're supposed to be indestructable! It was only when Artoo obtained the access codes for the Devastators were they able to defeat them! - Why is Dack racing with the rest of the Rogue's in Begger's Canyon... he's not really a Rogue! His only mission with them was at Hoth and he died there! - Luke acts like he's the leader in The Death Star Trench Run. Plus why are there about four or five squads of X-Wing's and Y-Wings and a wing of TIE Fighters in the trench with you?... Another question... where is Vader? and why does the trench have turns!!!?!?!? - Why doesn't Luke crash in Battle of Hoth[/b}?... I have many more to go through but I'll stop here... --------------------------------------------- Btw don't think I hate Rogue Squadron! I love it! It's one of my favourite games! But you can't help but notice these faults... ------------------

Guest S1DC
Hey, its just a game, not a documentry or a simulator. If they wanted it to be acurate to the last detail, they would have made some stupid clone of the movies. ------------------ Saber One "I came, I saw, I Fragged." Guest Redwing
-Actually they were already "Rogues" at Hoth. -Odd, indeed. -Nope, the A-Wing Mark II had cannons that could aim backwards. A-Wings normally had swiveling cannons. -I like the RS version better than the others...more dramatic -Not necessarily a mistake. -It's magic! -Maybe Moff Seerdon was an exception? Or had a shortage of "good" walkers? -"Bring Wedge's X-Wing in." -Er...no clue...desperation? -[Rieekan:] Okay, which of you painted the Alliance symbol on those bacta containers? [Wedge:] Ummm...Luke did it! [Luke:] No, Wedge did it! [Wedge:] WHAT? Why you little--- [Together:] The droids did it! [R2:] Bweed do-do bweep? [C3-PO:] How typical. -I could invent an explanation for that if you really wanted... -Hey kids! It's Time Warp time! -Vader had to use the restroom. -He used the Force. Guest Redwing
MAN!!! Finally it posted! I've been trying to reply to this stupid topic all day, but it wouldn't let me! So I shorten my post (by a LOT), then try again and it won't show! Then I shorten it MORE and it only works when I don't "show signature"! What's going on? Is there a post length limit? ------------------ At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. Guest Lynk Former
ANSWERING TO REDWING: - At Hoth and before Hoth they were known as Rogue Flight Hmmmmmmmm go to: http://www.geocities.com/rogue_squadron_central/rogue_history.html and you'll see! - Yeah the Tatooine mission is very odd... - The original A-Wings didn't have rotating laser cannons! This is like the first A-Wing's ever made! - But which one is true? - Well Wedge says that they're the "best of the best" now I thought the 181st were the best... - Magic?... Hmmmmmmm... great... - (to Rogue 15 as well) But the fact is the Empire never ever used AT-PT's! Never ever! Other wise they probably would've used them at Hoth because the can take down the troops and snowspeeders so easily... get it?... - What I'm saying is why is Wedge's X-Wing with him at Kessel?... the Alliance didn't just pick it up from Kilr II did they? I don't think the Imps would be that sloppy and leave it behind! - Damn... they must be REALLY desperate... - It's always the droids fault isn't it Red... - Come on... explain... - Time warp?... great - Great... plus when Han comes in why is Chewie growling all the time?... - ...yeah
Guest Redwing
OK half one... -Same thing, basically. -Er...maybe it's a...sim? maybe? -Yes they DID have rotating cannons-- read the SWVV, it details the original A-Wing. It had two "wing-mounted pivoting blaster cannons which [could] angle sixty degrees up or down. This [gave] the fighter a far wider field of fire than starfighters with fixed weapon emplacements. A few A-Wings (read: the Incom Mk IIs) have even been modified to fire straight back. " Where did you get the idea that wasn't part of the original design in the first place? -Who knows, who cares -Wedge was...misinformed. -Yes, it's wonderful, isn't it? -We don't KNOW that...maybe Seerdon just appropriated them from some secret stash. That also might explain why the Rebels were so desperate to get only three AT-PTs...maybe they suspected some kind of wonderful new technology that wasn't there? -ummmm...ya got me... -See above -Yes of course! Guest Redwing
Half two...(won't let me post it all at once) -Okay, here goes. The three Devastators were under the command of one Cmdr.*insert name here* who managed to gain secretly access to the codes for the World Devastators. While he couldn't change the codes for the old ones, he did manage to change the codes being hardwired into the systems of the Devastators being newly produced. Unfortunately he only managed to produce three before R2 shut down all the others. The three remaining Devastators were still "newborn" and their armor was quite weak, so he had shield generators hurridley erected on them. Then Cmdr.*insert name here* hurridly took the Devasators to the nearest Quarren/Mon Cal cities and went anout desroying them for raw materials as fast as possible. Unfortunately, the Rogues stopped him and destroyed all three of his Devastators before they could gather enough "garbage" to remold themselves into stronger "adult" versions. -Time warps, time warps, we love time warps -Well, Chewie needed to use the restroom too...but it was occupied since Vader was in it -What else? ------------------ At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge. -custom made by S1DC Technologies
Guest Rogue15
Empire uses AT-PTs they used them on Tatooine, aaarrrghhh everybody play force commander. ------------------ If you happen to find a powerful warrior whose face is hidden behind a helmet, staring in your direction, just know that the warrior is I, Rogue15. Guest Grand_Admiral_Ice
In Kile II Wedge was shot down in a Y-Wing. They obviously had Wedge's X-Wing in whatever ship it was stationed with and when they found Wedge they probably tractored it down or something. It wasn't with Wedge. ------------------ A six pack a day, keeps the doctor away.
Guest Lynk Former
I find it suprising that Wedge escaped his cell, got out of the train (which probably had stormies on it, ran over to his X-Wing (which had been conveniently delivered to him), got in, put his helmet on, gone through a extremely quick prep, lifted off, and have it all done in less than 5 seconds... before saying "And I thought I was the best..." Guest Red Leader Ace
Yeah, that's a point, I mean, the Imps would have had some sort of security on the train, in case of what happened on Rescue on Kessel, and all Wedge can say is "Food was good, but the service was lousy!"
