Guest S1DC
Ok, being a webmaster for a company, i can throw in a few words of advice: Always go for graphics rather than text for things such as your title. This shows that your not a 4 year old web-page-wannabe. I can build some good graphics for you (as it is my job). Make sure that people can get back to your home page from any page on the site. Avoid cheezit animated gifs, they just show that you copied and pasted some url from another site. Make sure your background is not repetative, and goes smoothly with your graphics. ALWAYS make sure all your links are correct: People hate clicking broken links. Make an area where people can give you feedback. Its the best way to find out what your users want. Create a baner ad, or have one made for you (by someone such as myself). This is the only way you'll ever get people to your site. Also, sending in to seacrh engines will get your name up on them. And most importantly: Get yourself a .com! They only cost $15 a month if you buy through yahoo!domains. They are esy to upkeep, and provide lots of room for you to expand. The only drawback is that there is no nifty little web page builder for you to use like with Geocities and Angelfire. You have to make it all yourself with your own software. And thats it! If you want any custom graphics, e-mail me what you are looking for and we can work something out. ------------------ Saber One "I came, I saw, I Fragged." Guest Lynk Former
That's some good advice happening there. You should seriously listen to S1 here Wade. He's got some good points. I myself have yet to get a .com ... Hmmmmm... but I do used Frontpage instead of Yahoo! Pagebuilder to make my site... but I'm just really an amature... and don't really know much about this sorta stuff... (eventhough I've got a huge site which lots of people have gone to, with heaps of affiliates... ) ------------------
