I love these message boards and all. They are a great way for the GB community to communicate. But when it comes to playing against each other online, I run into some problems. First off, the zone is going downhill and is almost a waste of time for people. Second, announcing your game or your ip address on the forums is a nice idea, but it does present some difficulties. For instance, once soemone announces that they are hosting a game, how do you know if they are still there ready to play or whether they have shut off their computer to go watch tv? The only way was to go into the game, plug in the ip address and see. The one good thing about the zone was that you could see what players were on and who was hosting what (as a matter of fact, that was the only good thing about the zone). Maybe I am just thinking way too far out of the box, but... maybe what we need is some sort of instant messaging service or some kind of chat room where we can see who is online and ready to play without much difficulty. Maybe there are such things and we (or I) just don't know about them. If you got any ideas, please post.

Use AOL instant messanger or ICQ/MSN messenger to see if people are on then and there. Also, posting your IP addy isn't smart if you have cable modem, or even if you don't. Trojans do work.
