Obi Kwan
I was telling a friend about JKII the other day as we were playing Obi-Wan for X-Box. I said that I had been following OW since it had been announced which was at E3 of 2000, right? Anyway, I realized that we as a community have been tracking JKII for about 7 months which is about 2/3 of the waiting time for the game (provided it is released on schedule in March.) So what does this mean? This is the calm before the storm. Soon, these forums will grow exponentially; the community will still be here, but it will be huge. What I want to know is how JKII will live up to the attention we have given it for over half of a year. Has Lucasarts done a good job of keeping us salivating for this game? On the one hand, they cant release too much or else the game wont be as exciting when it comes out. On the other hand, they have to release enough so that we dont form misconceptions and create a game in our minds that is unlike the game that really exists. Ive never followed the development of a game like this before, and I wanted to say, before things get insane, that It has been a great experience and I cant wait to see how the community evolves as the game is actually released. SO there are somethings in here to comment about; sorry if I just rambled and made little to no sense.
digl
I have also been wondering about what will happen to this forums What I want to know is how JKII will live up to the attention we have given it for over half of a year. On the other hand, they have to release enough so that we dont form misconceptions and create a game in our minds that is unlike the game that really exists. About misconceptions, some of that happened with OW apparently, beacuse they didnt release any info (and also spotlighted it as a game different that what it really was) I dont think that they can possibly release too much or that releasing much info would make the game less exciting It would only make the game less exciting if the info they reveal disappoint us
