bsbuckeye21 Posted January 3, 2002 Posted January 3, 2002 With Windows XP's built in CD writing, is there a way to write to a CD-RW without via packet writing? Also, when I installed it, "Windows XP Home Edition Version 2600" appears in the lower right hand corner, like this is some pre-release copy or something (I picked it up in a store). How do I disable the text? Thanks. (And yes, this is a cross-post.)
digl Posted January 3, 2002 Posted January 3, 2002 Its the last build for the text, get winxp tweak UI I dont know about the CDRW
KordKelly Posted January 3, 2002 Posted January 3, 2002 I don't believe you can, buckeye... The CD-R build-in with XP was nbot designed for either speed, or for cd-to-cd copy. Your best bet would be a third-party software. I use Nero 5.5 on my XP machine, and it runs beautifully...
bsbuckeye21 Posted January 4, 2002 Author Posted January 4, 2002 I have no idea what you're saying, KordKelly. I do plan on getting good software, but I just need a band-aid for now. And thanks digl, it worked great!
digl Posted January 4, 2002 Posted January 4, 2002 good to know that it worked I think KordKelly means that you shouldnt use the built in cd writing
bsbuckeye21 Posted January 5, 2002 Author Posted January 5, 2002 I'm not duplicating CD's, and I don't follow the either speed part. I just want to write to a CD-RW without packets. I should be getting software soon, though.
