Changing colors?

When I play the Campaign mode, or the standard game for that matter, how do I change my team color? I am tired of bening blue, but for the most part, my unit icons disappear when they are over water. This cause quite a problem on the larger maps and you dont have your units grouped together. Thanks for your help.

This is correct but not the whole entire story. Colors are associated with "player numbers". Thus, blue is always Player 1, red is always Player 2, etc. If you change color, you change Player number. If you decide to be red, then you will be Player 2. This will move you around the map in terms of your starting area. If you, for example, play a 2-player game, the computer puts you at one end of the map and your opponent at the other. If you choose to be player 8, though, even in a 2-player game, it might put you where player 8 would be in an 8-player game instead... you might find out that you and your opponent are very close neighbors (I haven't actually tested this in GB, but it certainly happened in AoE 1).

It's certainly possible to play as any player number/color, but you should be aware of the possible limitations/caveats before hand, just so you're not surprised.

Yeah I am rpetty dumb. I figured it out the same day as I posted the message. I still wish that I could be something other than blue, liek red. Then I would always be visible. When I play a standard game, I am always red. I am trying to get onlie to play, but my connection is slow. Hope to see some of you there.
