piesrcool Posted January 15, 2002 Share Posted January 15, 2002 Hi chaps I've been playing the PS2 version of MI and get stuck in ActII. I have been putting the pieces of the ultimate insult together - all I need is the hat (under a boulder). I had a chat to my crew down near the canoe hire on the beach - on exiting the monologue the game seems to freeze! The background sound and animation work fine but I can't use the controller anymore - all I can do is call the load/save menu. I figured if I saved I could leave the game and load it up again but it doesn't work! Now whenever I even try to start a new game with my memory card in I can't move guybrush at all - just load and save. Has anyone else seen anything like this happen? Damned anoying! As soon as I ended the conversation with Otis by the rental canoes, I can't move, speak, or interact with items! I had just saved (now I realize, the stupidest thing I could have done) and now when the game loads I'm right back here, frozen. I have lost the entire game. I emailed LucasArts tech support on their site, but I don't imagine there is much that can be done. If anyone has had this happen and DID get out of it, please let us know! I have to start the game over from the start and have lost HOURS of progress! Bottom line - don't talk to Otis by the canoes! It isn't necessary for the game, and you might get stuck!
