Tim the Furnish Posted January 21, 2002 Share Posted January 21, 2002 After the outstanding success of SLUDGE (but only if you believe the rumours that it was actually designed to start arguments on adventuregamers.com) Hungry Software brings out another fantastic invention - Adventure SOS (standing for Adventure Solutions, Zero Spoilers... do you see?). As far as I'm aware, it's the world's first walkthrough system which knows how far you've got in a game and only shows you hints for the puzzles you're facing. An icon shows if you've got to a position where there are Easter eggs and secret bits accessible. Plus, you can write your own Adventure SOS files using any text editor and add them to your own site and/or the official file library. Register Adventure SOS for $10 and you can even compile your files to save space and make them uneditable by other people... a good idea if you're going to distribute them. Plus you get the option of turning any walkthrough into a printable HTML version and support for multiple users. And if you don't feel like registering, that's fine... there's no "10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1" box at the front of this one. Currently there's only one walkthrough available - for Teen Agent, of all things (the game was nice and small) - but the collection will grow. Should you want to add to it, feel free to email or scrawl either here or on the official Adventure SOS forum. And yes, that includes walkthroughs for your own amateur adventures.
