Herman, milk bottle and accordion

I have collected the milk bottle and hit him on the head, spoken to him. Then the same with the Accordion. Why won't he give me the symbol as it reads on the walkhrough????

He says remembers getting asked questions by me, and doesn't know where his ship is.

Did you start to hit him with the item that caused the amnesia before you used the bottle and the accordion?

So far I have hit him with Coconut, Bottle & Accordion. Is there anything else I should smack him with?.

No.

After each item, ask him about his memory. If improved go to next.

Use all text options before you use next item.

If you have done it correctly he'll start telling you a long story.

I'm having troubles too. I use the Coconut, he says the last thing is the milk bottle. I use the milk bottle, he'll talk, and I use ALL of the dialogue options several times, but he doesn't say anything. I've read in several places that I need the accordian, and I have it, and I just beat Monkey Kombat (Woohoo), but he wont accept the milk bottle. I'll go try again, but.......

He responds to the coconut and mentions the milk bottle. I can swing the milk bottle at him, but he doesnt have any reaction. He can't help, just says stuff about not knowing anything about Ozzie and LeChuck is dim, or something on that line, I must be desperate, he's a full-time hermit, blah blah blah, nope, I can't remember anything else. (heh!) ....snot-nosed pirate...
