circa_sk8er_au Posted January 26, 2002 Share Posted January 26, 2002 HEY FOLKS, I have sucsesfully installed ESCAPE FROM MONKEY ISLAND on my NEW computer. I have Windows XP. I changed it to 16 bit still dont work. Any way after it crashes and restarts it says the problem was caused by my 3-D card. The GeForce 2 or sumthing like that. the screen goes blank and we have new drivers and patches. plus xp updates and it still doesnt work. Grannen, Helpers, Folks. ANYBODY! Grannen Posted January 26, 2002 Share Posted January 26, 2002 Here are some suggestions: 1. Menu – Options – Conf. options – Trouble Shooting and Enable Direct3D + 16bit 2. Menu – Analyze your comp. Does it pass? 3. Same as 2. and run the DirectX Diagn. 4. This computer – Control panel and reduce the number of colors. Try 256. 5. Same as 4. and try a lower resolution (800x600) 6. Start play – Press F1 – Options – Alter Gee Wizz Factor and try Minimum settings. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
