parrots won't talk about hat

I asked everyone on both islands about the insult but i can't get someone to talk to me about the hat.

according to the walkthrough, it's under the boulder, but who

will tell me that in the first place?

 

i talked to the guy in front of the statue and the pirate who is the parrot owner. what now? help!

Uh, did you get the whistle from the school? Set the fire alarm off (to the right of the front door) and as soon as Miss Rivers (the teacher) dissapears round the corner, run in and search the treasue box on the left. Make Guybrush pick up the whistle (it'll me an a menu of other items) and after she's told you off, go back to the boulder beach and use the whistle.

The parrots will then fly over and land on the rock nearest to you.

That's OK, she's new.:) I posted walkthrous when I was new too. I didn't understand back then. Of course to Angel You say: "Please Only Give hints.:) " But to me they said: "Your whole purpose of that post was to tell them how. Your suppose to give hints, idiot.:mad::tsk:" ... ... Well maybe it wasn't that bad but it was kinda like that.:D
