FlyBOy Posted September 21, 2001 Posted September 21, 2001 Proofs are horrible. i hate them, i hate them, i hate them!!!
Captain Fett Posted September 21, 2001 Posted September 21, 2001 Yup, proofs alright, that's the question I missed, I put the wrong reason for a statement in a proof! Proofs seem stupid to me. I mean why should you have to explain every step you take to do a math problem? If you get it right why would they need to know how you got there? I mean you have to write three steps just for 2x=6!
Guest xwing guy Posted September 21, 2001 Posted September 21, 2001 I know! But I just use my catclator so I don't have any or very little proof to write down.
FlyBOy Posted September 21, 2001 Posted September 21, 2001 not if you don't know how to use the calculator you have properly
Captain Fett Posted September 22, 2001 Posted September 22, 2001 We have to write it all whether we used a calculator or not!
Guest Admiral Odin Posted September 22, 2001 Posted September 22, 2001 I use a Ti-83 Graphing Calc. for my Calculus course. My teachers are lucky if they see the original problem. (I usually just put answers down)
Darth_Rommel Posted September 22, 2001 Posted September 22, 2001 was that the first thing that came to your mind?
Guest Admiral Odin Posted September 23, 2001 Posted September 23, 2001 nope. it was "who is he talking to"
Captain Fett Posted September 23, 2001 Posted September 23, 2001 I think I was talking to flyboy. I promise, I'm not as much of a geek as I sound. I'm just good with numbers and make good grades. By the way, Link, we aren't doing circumference and area of a circle yet so pie is not very on topic... New word: blue milk
