Monkey Island and Windows XP compatibility

Has anyone experience difficulty running Escape MI on Windows XP? I get to the part of that guy suntanning when Guybrush gets a print of the map off his back and right when he pulls the towel off the mans back, a windows message comes up saying that the sound file could not be found and the game quits. I wish I could finish this game. Any input would be great!
