TsN|ViperX Posted March 27, 2002 Share Posted March 27, 2002 Interesting points, but I'm not sure I agree with you. Other people have mentioned tribes one, so I'll use that to illustrate. In tribes 1, the flag carrier stood to be at a huge advantage when he grabbed the flag. since he would swoop in at very high speeds and if the defense missed him he was gone. But nevertheless, the defense had counters, such as disk jumping to get up to speed quickly (speed), chaingun to spam at the carrier (repeater or even the e-11 blaster), sniper rifle (same), etc. It ended up balancing very well, and survives even too (albeit in a weakend state thx to a game that shall reamin nameless *cough* tribes 2 *cough*).
