OK, for those who seem to still be freezing:

 

Now, this is for the ppl who freeze in game(single and MP) where the system halts and give that horrible looped ring or sound.

 

Turn off the GL extensions and give it a go, I had a server running for about 3 hours straight with no probs. Set my rez super high, details high and everything, and vice versa. No probs. Second I put "GL extensions: On" again, it started crashing again.

 

If you haven't tried this yet, give it a shot.

 

And just as an idea fo what hardware im using:

AMD XP 1050 mHz

512 DDR Ram

Radeon VE DDR w/ 64M Ram

7200 RPM Wester Digital HD IDE

Win2k Pro

 

I think the Radeon doesnt like the GL extentions...but still looks nice )
