yap, i tried it. but like you, no idea where to install. i put in "base" directory, but no luck. i notice there's some other path on the site, but i didn't see any that matched that. also, it mentioned somethin' about the assets0 file =/

not sure what to do now..at first thought i should replace assets0.pk3 but the original is 510mb and enyak is way tinier..humm..gonna go try to translate there site for more info.

think i got it guys. u have to edit pk3 file that is assets0.pk3, once u open it u replace npcs.cfg in ext_data folder with the npcs.cfg from enyak.

 

how do u do this u ask. go to http://www.effiles.com (elite force site), look under utilities for pak tools. I downloaded v0.11.

i'm a newb at this...but i figured out how to do it..if u mess up u will have to reinstall..so backup if you have space (takes 510mb)

 

To be super safe i rename my original OGassets0.pk3, and edited the copy and renamed it assets0.pk3

1) start pak...open enyak...go into ext_data..copy npcs.cfg

 

2) open assets0.pk3..go into ext_data..paste npcs.cfg (will overwrite original)

 

3) close both pk3's..saving the changes to assets0.pk3

 

Now yer all done..i guess..gonna go test it now...wasn't so bad was it...

 

**UPDATE** boy, im dense today..well its my day off so I can be. assets0.pk3 is single player (npcs.cfg=non player character s....) and assets1.pk3 is multi player (so no dismember in multi..also thinking changing multi would stop u from connecting to other servers due to code change, i.e. hax)...since I dont have saber yet I am not sure if it works..I believe I did the right thing..all info matched once i got the pak tool. So u peeps with a saber in sp let me know if it worked..or i'll get back to u when I get it.

guys, just put the pack file in your gamedata\base dir. thats it. nothing else. no messing with other files. just like medal of honor or any other q3 based game. it works, ive just chopped a storm trooper completely in half and laughed for 20 minutes. trust me, it works....but don't expect an all out gorefest...dismemberments happen much more often, but still only like 50% of the time. put it in, and load up a save game near some stormies, you'll see. also, this doesn't work in mplayer.
