Grinch2020 Posted March 30, 2002 Share Posted March 30, 2002 Hello all, I recently decided to take a break from SP and try out MP. Difference in frames is amazing. I went from an average of 30-50 fps to around 10. I tried multiple things but no joy. Setting all graphical settings to absolute minimum. Finding low ping servers(1-50). Even trying to find servers with a smaller amount of people. Im the first to admit that my computer isnt that great but its not THAT bad. Athlon 950 Geforce 2 GTS 384 meg RAM I dont seem to be having these types of troubles in other MP games (ex. RTCW runs for the most part smooth as silk) but I just cant seem to get very playable frames in this one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks much. JaNg0 Posted March 30, 2002 Share Posted March 30, 2002 the only suggestion i have is to do a crap shoot with different sets of Detonator drivers.. Some drivers work better for some cards.. Which drivers are you currently using?? I have read on other boards that the 21.83's are one of the best sets for the GF2 based cards.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Annomalus1 Posted March 30, 2002 Share Posted March 30, 2002 don't worry, fps always slows down in multiplayers. i have a p4 1.7g, 512 rdram. in single player i get average 100-120 fps, but in multiplayer it drops drastically to 40-70 fps, so it's not just you.
