Jay487
Im on a linksys router and hub and when i either join/ or create a game i keep getting packet entity errors and am disconnected after a few seconds of entering/joining game. IS there a setting on my router/the game or a patch to fix this?

Slaughter
Make sure you are using the router's latest firmware. Then make sure you have your MTU set. 1500 for Cable, 1492 for DSL. Also, do not connect to the server with your external IP. Use the LAN ip for your server. Connecting to the external IP will most likely freeze the router, forcing you to restart it the hard way by unplugging and plugging it back in. cynosure
I need help with this. I am running a dedicated server that is connected through a Linksys router via a cable modem. When people from the internet join my game, they are randomly disconnected and they receive this error: /cl_parsepacketentities : end of message/ Could someone PLEASE help me with this? I don't need a complete walkthrough of what I need to do, but I'm a quake 3-style server newbie, I'm learning console commands for the first time here. Ports 28060 through 28081 are all forwarded to my server. This is very frustrating, I will be very greatful for any help at all.
