SINphul
I know many of you have had problems with the Jedi Knight CDs. I am one of those people. The first JKII cd I got, my computer would not even let me look at the contents of the cd, let alone install it. Thinking it defective, I brought it back for a replacement disk. This time, the cd still would not autorun, but I was able to install the game directly through the setup file. I can play both SP and MP with no trouble (except for my MP stuttering problem...see previous post), but my computer still does not seem to like the cd. Whenever I boot up the computer, if the cd is in, the computer will simply NOT show any icons or the startmenu on my desktop...not until I remove the disc. The autoplay will still not work also. Reading the other posts, I tried it on my friends writable cd-drive...sure enough, it worked fine there. I just want to ask if this is normal and my disc is fine, or should I get yet another replacement disc? Thanks in advance
JaNg0
I had the same problem but it wasn't for JK2 it was for SOF.. I got the game with the purchase of my videocard 2 years ago.. Anyways.. I tried to install, wouldn't autorun, put half-life in and started up like nothing.. HEHE... You're not gonna like my suggestion but it's what I did.. I bought a 40$ 50x cd-rom and viola it worked... LOL.. But now I finally poked my head into the 21st century and bought a dvd-rom...

I used to have that problems with alot of games.. like Serious Sam and SOF I ended up throwing the POS out. and all my problems were solved. SINphul
Nope, I'm using a Pioneer DVD-ROM... So it isn't my disc then? It is my disc drive, right? I just don't want to be stuck with a bogus disk...
