How do I get my lightsaber on Yavin Trials?

I got the lightsaber to show in the cage, I hit the rock and try a force speed run but I am always too late, is there another trick?

You're almost there, you need to jump on the rock - then force speed up to the cage and when your close enough use force pull to get the saber (before the cage falls shut) It might take a few tries.
