MrKeyboard
Got a bit of a problem guys....after beating the first level, I get to watch the cutscene where Jan and Kyle talk to Mon Mothma in her office etc etc, and it crashes when it goes to load the next level. It gives me this message: (Repeat): Z_Malloc(): Failed to alloc -134217624 bytes (TAG_BSP) !!!!! Ive tried setting the desktop to 16-bit to correct this, and ive reinstalled directx and my vid card drivers.

Chiles4
I'm using a Kyro 2 but I'm still on Kesim Base so I haven't seen the cut scene yet (I thought Kesim Base was the 2nd level?) - sorry about spelling. I'll keep an eye out for that error. I'm using the 14.028 Herc drivers and DirectX 8.0a - but like I said I'm not as far in as you - probably will be in a couple of days (playing only 30 min a day!). Chiles4
Will do. But you'll have to be patient - some days I don't get to play at all! OUCH!
Chiles4
I found a solution on the net that supposed to work. I posted it in the thread about the Z_Malloc error: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=426647#post426647 BTW, how much memory are you using? I run with 512MB (DDR). Chiles4
I got past the cutscene you were talking about and got no errors. I use the 4.37 VIA drivers (AGP and INF drivers only). I can't remember if I have a fixed size 400MB swap file or if I'm still letting Windows handle that. As I mentioned, using the latest Hercules Kyro 2 drivers (14.028) with DX 8.0a under Win98SE. Not sure what other settings/driver versions I can tell you about. My e-mail address is visible so let me know if you want to compare more specs. Sorry to hear of your prob, that really blows! Do you have all background apps shut down before playing? I have created a Kyro profile for JK2 telling it to disable vsync and how much FSAA to use - you might want to try that if you haven't already. I don't know what level of support Raven or LucasArts is offering but this sounds like one that they need to help you with!
