azzichseb Posted April 1, 2002 Share Posted April 1, 2002 Hi, I'm getting decent FPS, but it runs slighly choppily - in a way I don't get with other games (Not even RTCWolfenstein or other Q3 engine games) It appears as if frames are skipped occasionally - but that doesn't quite catch it. It just doesn't *flow*, even when I'm hitting 60+ FPS. My system: Athlon 1400 @ 1000 (Aopen AK33 Mobo has a 200mhz side bus, not 266...so it clocks the chip down) 640 MB SDRAM (256x256x128) Windows 98se Radeon 8500 video card (64MB, Retail boxed, 8017 drivers) Maxi Muse Sound Card (el cheapo - do 'basic' sound cards have an effect?) Maxtor 40gb HD @7200 RPM A few other questions: What should I set my AGP aperture at? Should I enable DMA on my hard drive? How is this done in Win98se?
