Vodkamartini Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 Right a mate of mine has found the easter egg of easter eggs... It basically allows you to play another FULL level at the end of the single player game (and this level is at least as big as the whole of Artus mine)!! Raven, shall I disclose this wonderous discovery??????????? This is ****** fantastic!
Darksider Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 Perhaps this is, in fact, the april fool of all april fools? You hardly need permission from Raven to share if youve actually found something.
Willmore Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 dude, r u ****ting us, 'cause it's april fools day ?
jedi-redemption Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 if he is, he is the fool. in my country if it goes past 12 the fooler becomes the fool. and by my watch it says its 3:10
Vodkamartini Posted April 1, 2002 Author Posted April 1, 2002 ok go to console the type the following: usemap td1 exit the game and restart at jedi master difficulty. finally, complete the game and the new level will appear at the end, along with a short cutscene, back on Yevin. Enjoy And no this isnt a f00l
seanconnery Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 If there were such a level one would only have to load the map. Oh well that was disappointing...
jedi-redemption Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 how the F**K did he find that out ? he be a powerful jedi.
jedi-redemption Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 he might not be lying :S after all in max payne you cant load the sof demo without being in game can you ?
Vodkamartini Posted April 1, 2002 Author Posted April 1, 2002 please guys, dont u think i have better things to do than post april f00ls. Try it for yourself, and u will see. It is worth it
seanconnery Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 Agg who knows I don't blame anyone for having a little of fun (if he is)... On the other hand, I;m too lazy to check it out. I;m busy playing the level I just made.
Vodkamartini Posted April 1, 2002 Author Posted April 1, 2002 Cant someone get some RAVEN guy in here to confirm this? I hope im the first person to discover this
jedi-redemption Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 you said your mate found it out ! does this meen it is a fix ? pleeze post on http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=425912#post425912 pretty pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze
Vodkamartini Posted April 1, 2002 Author Posted April 1, 2002 I am staying at his house atm, and he found it while I was out last night. When I woke up a couple of hours ago (remember im in NY atm, so its still morning here), he showed me the level. It takes place on Yavin IV and he says there is a cutscene to go with it (although I havent seen that yet).
Graphicsgod Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 It doesn't work. When I type in "usemap td1" or just "map td1", it says it doesn't recognize the command or have a map called "td1". I think it's an April fools joke.
Vodkamartini Posted April 1, 2002 Author Posted April 1, 2002 work it out Einstein! It can be programmed to bring an error up. Thats why u have to replay the whole game again. If this wasnt the case, everyone would have found it by now, simply by looking in the directory. *sigh* Look just try it and then see for yourself that it works. But remember to start at Jedi Master difficulty tho.
Alfyboy Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 How about you post us some screen shots? if you have a problem with hosting just send them to me and I will host them for you Bull until proven...
nrx][Natas Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 It's a fake. I checked the *.pk3 files.....no secret map called td1.
Vodkamartini Posted April 1, 2002 Author Posted April 1, 2002 Read above you n00b. I said that it was hidden.
Caster Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 You can't hide files in a *.pk3 file. Not from outside the program and when your searching through explorer. -Caster
Alfyboy Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 Listen chet. I can call you chet can't I? Good. If you want people to believe your wild claims then provide us with proof. Like I said provide some screen shots. Until then stop being an insulting tit calling us all 'n00bs' when you yourself are acting liek a pure 'n00b'.
Desslock Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 Alright. I tested this. Here's what I did: *started a Jedi master game* *put in usemap td1 in the console with and without devmapall on* *warped to yavin_final and killed Desann with god mode* *Watched final cutscene. Watch game skip to credits. Watched credits. Back to main menu* Conclusion? Bullcrap claim. Even if this was a prank, you dont have to be so anal about people dissecting it.
slice Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 what he said was true, he just didn't right in some steps: you have to hit your head with a baseball bat before you start up JO, then while its loading you have to spin around with your nose on the end of the bat 532 times, and the do what he said, and voila!
