Jan dances... against a wall... with no rythm (more than halfway through so spoilers)

On the doombringer (think thats the name of it) when you find Jan in her cell she walks over to a switch, shaking, and activates the switch. The door opens, and she tell you to activate the switch inside the new room (duel switches or somethin'). SHe tells you to hold the switch down so she can run through one door and through the other door (you have to of played this level lol). So.. I did. I turned round to her, still keeping hold of activate, and she just turns left and right shaking. I can't run back upto her because the door closes, as does the other door. I've tried everything from killing her to pulling her.. she just dances like she's taking the mik.

 

Can anyone help?
