Redvan Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 AMD Athalon 950MHz 256mb RAM 40gig hd 32mb ATI rage fury pro 56k modem (usually connects at 45.2kbps) I try to join a server and it says only for low pings or something. whats that mean? It also says "challenging" or something or other, then numbers keep counting up, is that it just connecting?

You are what is called a HPB or High Ping Bastard. The server admin does not want any HPB's playing on the server, it is for LPB's only. Get DSL to play on it.

Redvan Posted April 3, 2002 Author Posted April 3, 2002 ok, didn't think it was anything but my modem, just never be sure. i got it to work on some, finally, still with quite a bit of lag yeah, i would get DSL or cable, but no money for it right now.
