Dash
I am unable to start Jedi Knight normally, but have to use safe mode each time I want to play. My system configuration is fairly standard apart from my GeForce 4 Ti 4600. I am guessing this is the problem, and/or the drivers it uses. Being the latest card I need to latest drivers just to have support for the card. I have tried both the Creative 27.11 (I think, 27.?) and the Nvidia 28.32 drivers. What exactly happens is this. When running the game my CPU will hit full usage but nothing will appear. Taking a look at my process list there is an occurence of JediKnight, it's PID keeps changing so I presume it crashes and restarts itself. It appears to have 2 instances on occasions, I don't know if this is merely a delay in refreshing. This will happen for a suitably annoying length of time then spit out the following error: The instruction at "0x77f82cc5" referenced memory at "0x01611000". The memory could not be "written". Quake 3 works fine, and I have spoken to Activision and they aren't sure what the problem is. Specs: Windows 2000 Pentium 4 512MB RAM SB Live! NVPixel
Try the nvidia 23.11 drivers. I heard they work best with JK2
Dash
They don't support the GeForce 4 though.
Lazzz
Try 27.70 drivers, they worked out fine on my GF 4400 card and switch off Volumetric shadows and anisotropic filtering - I heard that the 28.32 drivers are not so good? Lazzz
Dash
I have now discovered that it's not an issue with my GeForce 4 as the same happens using those drivers with my GeForce 2 in the system. The problem is now at: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39029
