Darksider
Not to boast but ive not yet come across my superior in sabre fighting , though Cringe and monkeu are about equal we seem to win/lose quite evenly. All my RL friends i solidly trounced though Borf is catching up.....

enDless_Deliriu
-V-Chico I'm getting better at Saber Fighting (from playing the Single Player, though the moves are dif, but we'll see I guess ) IceDragon, do you play Tribes under the same name? LoS-IceDragon?
dan-o2
Please don't tell me that's -V- as in vanguard. Has |5150| discovered JK2 yet or are they still in UT or whatever they moved on to? =\
enDless_Deliriu
I think it's Valar, either way it's a Tribes team here. I'm not sure if 5150 has made a team over here, but most of the people who frequent TribalWar and the like have heard of the game, and a good few are playing it. I take it you play Tribes or Tribes 2 Dan.
dan-o2
Tribes 2. Except right now it's messing up and voice.vl2 is messed so I can't repatch after I had to reinstall because firstaid messed it up. *sigh*

daunt
Most of 5150 doesn't seem to care for the game. A bunch of people ran off to play Dungeon Siege a few days ago and I haven't seen them since. What can I say? The enD tag caught my eye.
dan-o2
Bah, 5150 is a bunch of sissys. (Don't tell them I said that)
madrebel
noone in particular owns me. this one guy "am i dead yet?" is a really good saberist that was/is giving me fits. But i found a good counter to his strong style. spinner style saberists are a bit difficult for me now. other than that not many ive seen.
seanconnery
There's a clan called PPD...they own me in sabering too.

Darksider
you can chain 3 spins and 2 slashes in medium style. or infinite spins in light style (not techinically spins according to the manual light style doesnt invovle spins but you swirl the sabre round in a circle over and over)
seanconnery
But darksider, how? All I've been able to get with medium style were ugly slashes.
Mattock
I'm on a dialup so everyone owns me pretty much. BTW, does anyone else find people who just sit there and spin incredibly annoying? Half the time when I see someone doing that I just bust out the force grip. If they're gonna sit there and be annoying I might as well too. Although, it is funny when someone starts spinning, so I run off, a lil later I"ll come back and the guy is still in the same spot spinning. Has anyone else seen the trick where a guy is spinning round and roun, but is doing what looks like a saber throw, except the saber is just barely out of his hand and is spinning along with him? I can't figure out how they do that one.
Darksider
the trick is not to click wildly , hold down the fire button and use the directional keys to guide the sabre , using the forward and strafe keys you can do a spin , hold them down and you will chain spin , once you initiate the spins you can still move by moving the mouse and using the other strafe key , even in medium style chain spinning can be quite useful check out this demo , its fairly long (almost 20 min) but its got a wide variety of sabre technique in it culminating in 4 consecutive duels at the end http://www.members.optushome.com.au/ewa55/MeOnFFABespin.zip
Darksider
mattock thats not a technique really , its kind of buggy , if the sabre is almost back to you and you do a sideways force jump (so you roll midair) it will start spinning around you until you either stop or press fire to fully call it back , you can hit people like this but cant deflect and in general it leaves you wide wide open
