the dam tram

Hi guys im pretty new to star wars games but im loving it so far. cant wait to get the LS. the problem is i cant seem to jump from that rocky ledge onto the mining tram in the 3rd level. is there some trick?? i tried crouching, nada. im not new to FPS games but this game seems pretty friggin difficult and im only on the 3rd level. any hints?? is there somewhere in particular you have to jump on the tram . ? Back? front?

First of all this question has been answered many times. If you get stuck in the future, just do a little searching.

 

You do indeed have to ride the tram, but how do you get on top of it? You've seen the red room where the tram makes a short stop? That's where you can climb on top, but if you there while the room lights up red, you die.

 

There's a sort of "control center" that you enter before going into that red room. It has a couple doors that lead outside. Head outside and look for a couple short metal potrudences that have lights on the end. Standing next do those, look down and eventually you'll see an exhaust pipe that juts out periodically. Jump down on it, then climb inside it once it moves back. That'll take you under the red room where you can destroy the generators that power it.
