Danica
hey i'm trying to make my first skin (yey!) and I am wondering if anyone out there could help me figure out how to remove beards/change hair colors of some of the faces, or point me to a tutorial that shows me how to do so...anyone help? =)
deadpool99
i believe you would need a new model if you want to get rid of the beard. a transparent texture wouldnt work cause you would be able to see inside the polygons
felony
deadpool, its called a skin. a beard can be in the model but usually its just in the skin.

Octavius
Actually, if you are able to create a custom shader and bind it to a model/skin, you could in fact have transparent parts on a character. It is something that has been a part of Quake 3 and likewise can be done in this game. But again, this would require some know how. Look up some tutorials on making fences (they are walls that use shaders to basically define the transparent section on the wall, making a chain-link fence... Just some thoughts... As far as teh beards, most the characters in JK2 have beards that are actually part of their skin, not the model. So yes, you can remove them... UniKorn
Fences are fake 2D parts, models are pure 3D, you cannot make parts transparant without errors.
