S1mk1n
I have a 900mhz athlon, 352mb ram, windows 98se, and a voodoo 3 for now... graphics are fine, except i can only load one saved file everytime i open my single player... the first one loads fine, but the background, the picture of the map doesnt show up, it shows the lucasarts logo upside down... and if i die, or reload another map, it freezes about 1/4 of the way through the loading of the level... i read up on it and decided to try wicked3d... it worked pretty good i guess, the background picture is right, but then it says my cd isnt in the cd drive, but the cd IS in the drive, i rebooted and everything and it still says the cd isnt in... i uninstalled wicked3d and jk2 and reinstalled jk2, and i still have the previous loading problem... anyone got an idea why? Av8tor
I have exactly the same problem. I am also using a Voodoo3 card. I think it may be the fact that no drivers are availiable through 3dfx anymore. I have yet to find a fix for it and I'm looking for an inexpensive replacement. Anyone know anything about Radeon cards? I may be able to get one with 128mbDDR for 200$
SlimChance
This happens to me as well. I tried the Wicked GL drivers but no luck. Anyway, I got a work around from one of the threads here. Before loading a saved game, go into your video settings and change one thing (like geometry detail, change it from low to med). The video driver will reset itself and you should now be able to load the game. And then the next time you need to load the game, go back in the video settings and switch back. It's a pain, but it's better than rebooting. This is working for me right now. I have a Voodoo 5. Slim,
