Stuck in the claim assembly (the room with the electrified floor)

I see the turbo lift but I can't get it to come down without dieing. Force push doesn't work on the controls. Is there a trick here?

tehre are several electric floors so u need more info.

i know where you are.What you need to do isjump on the boxes(to the left) until you reach a big opening on the other side of the thing jump into it and,well you can take it from there:)
