Wolfhunt
I haven't seen this posted yet but is anyone else having this problem? When I start the game I reconfigure the keyboard and mouse to my liking. I then play in the SP game. After I leave the game and later restart it all of my controls are set back to default. I have to redo everything again. This is getting really frusterating and pretty much beginning to ruin the game for me. If anyone else has this problem and knows a fix please let me know. I tried to DL the current patch but the patch is insisting that JKII does not exist on my system.
Gilbert
There is a patch out? Anyway, I had this problem in multiplayer when I used the in-game browser to pick games. Had to redo my controls everytime. Dunno why. I eventually switched to the Zone and All Seeing Eye and they save my settings. Kinda stupid. That never happened in single player for me, though, so I dunno what to tell ya. I feel your pain.
Kurgan
Try this.. make a new folder called "backup" in your JK2 directory.. now after configuring you controls how you want them in game, exit and then copy and paste the jk2mp.cfg and jk2sp.cfg files into that backup folder. Now you will have a backup, so if your controls ever get reset, you can just copy and paste from the "good" copies back into your regular directory. Patrickj64_ak
FYI. there is 3 ways to start jk. 1, single player safe mode 2, multiplayer safe mode and 3, regular when you start up in safe mode it always resets itself when you fire it up. found this out the hard way and spent a day trying to figure out what the hell i was doing wrong, also found out that if you do run safe mode again after you been playing awhile it will clear up all your setting in regular mode to. so just go to you START, PROGRAMS,LUCASARTS,JEDIOUTCAST, and you'll see 3 diferent startup exe. grab the one without the safe mode, and put shortcut on desktop, leave the others off destop. that should take care of your problem....it did for me.
