Leaning around corners: Anyone get this to work?

I noticed that there are binds for leaning left and leaning right, but when I tried to drop the console and bind some keys, it just made my controls all screwy and I had to reboot to get the SP game to work right again.

 

I would LOVE to be able to look around corners in SP... so if anyone has got this to work, please edjukate me.

Hell yeah! Couldn't live without my peeky-peeky Haven't bound it, and I'm just going off of memory here (in-game my finggies seem to find the key combo) but its use and either strafe key.

i dont use lean but as far as in know. hold shift then your stafe left or right. its more or less a toggle key. not a hotkey

You don't need to bind anything in order to make use of the lean function. To lean, simply hold down the use button, and press either strafe left to lean left, or strafe right to lean right.

 

If you do it right, you can often times peek around corners without alerting enemies to your presence.

 

But yeah, useless in multiplayer. ;-)

the one ability I found only marginally better than a lean, was the 'stick the landing' after a jump by using the use key. it annoyed me because I'd always have my IR goggles turning on then.

I never figured that one out. What's kind of move is this "stick the landing"? When does it become most useful?

I find sticking the landings really useful when doing huge jumps - it reduces the amount of damage done when landing. It looks really cool to jump into a sabre battle from a ridiculous height
