Rendar
The reticule shows you where the shot will go, based on the diagonal path from your weapon to the center of the screen. You see in a straight line from the center of your head. When the path from the weapon intersects something, the reticule will move in front of that object, as illustrated below. Chiles4
Thanks, Rendar. I don't have any trouble using it but I just didn't quite know wth it was doing.
BeWary
Found this at http://www2.ravensoft.com/jedioutcast/faq.htm: You can turn off the dynamic crosshair and turn it into a standard FPS static crosshair by bringing down the console with the SHIFT + TILDE keys and typing cg_dynamicCrosshair 0 and hitting ENTER. Enjoy! BeWary
The_BZA
unless everybody is doing it...it allows you to fire your gun effectivly through a wall when such things shouldnt be possible. i.e the above diagram. so, im guessing that if a server has cheats disabled, then you wont be allowed to use the static crosshair. unfair advantage. WickedPresident
I used the console command to disable the dynamic crosshairs, but now the crosshair is missing in SP 3rd person. The crosshair is still visible in MP 1st and 3rd, and SP 1st. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd rather not use the dynamic crosshairs if possible.
